Product Overview
ACEY-CLW4000W Cantilever Galvo Laser Welding Machine is designed for lithium battery pack welding, including aluminum busbars, nickel connecting sheets, battery electrodes and copper-aluminum composite components.
The machine combines a 4000W fiber laser source with a three-axis coordinated cantilever structure and high-speed galvanometer scanning system. Its large working range provides flexible access to different welding positions, making it suitable for battery modules and packs of various sizes.
Programmable welding paths and adjustable laser energy waveforms allow the machine to process welding points, straight lines, curves and customized patterns. Stable and precise welding helps reduce connection resistance and improve the electrical performance and reliability of assembled battery packs.
For pouch battery applications, the standard welding head can be replaced with a dedicated pouch battery welding head.
Main Applications
Product Features
Material and Welding Capability
ACEY-CLW4000W is mainly intended for aluminum, nickel, copper-aluminum composite materials and selected lithium battery connection components.
| Material | Processing Capability |
| Aluminum | Welding thickness up to approximately 5 mm |
| Copper-Aluminum Composite Sheet | Up to approximately 5 mm, depending on material structure |
| Nickel Sheet or Strip | Depends on thickness, joint structure and welding requirements |
| Copper | No more than approximately 2 mm; not recommended as the primary welding material |
| Stainless Steel | Suitable for marking nameplates on power battery casings |
Actual welding capability depends on the material grade, surface condition, workpiece gap, joint design, fixture stability, welding speed, focal position and required penetration depth. Sample testing is recommended before confirming the final welding process.
Important Note About Copper Welding
Copper is a highly reflective material. Although copper components no thicker than approximately 2 mm may be processed under suitable conditions, this machine is not recommended for applications mainly involving copper welding.
Reflected laser energy may damage the protective lens or shorten the service life of optical components. The material structure and welding requirements should therefore be evaluated before processing copper parts.
Optional Pouch Battery Welding Configuration
ACEY-CLW4000W can also be configured for pouch battery welding by replacing the standard welding head with a dedicated pouch battery welding head.

Working Advantages
The cantilever structure provides greater flexibility than a fixed enclosed working area when processing large battery packs. Operators can position the workpiece beneath the welding head and program multiple welding points without repeatedly moving the battery pack.
High-speed galvanometer scanning shortens the movement time between welding positions, while programmable energy control makes it possible to adjust the process for different connection materials and thicknesses. These functions make the machine suitable for both battery pack production and repair operations involving multiple product specifications.
FAQ
*What is the ACEY-CLW4000W mainly used for?
It is mainly used for welding lithium battery electrodes, aluminum busbars, nickel connecting sheets and copper-aluminum composite components during battery pack production or repair.
*What is the maximum aluminum thickness it can weld?
The 4000W system can weld aluminum materials up to approximately 5 mm under suitable process conditions. The actual result depends on the material grade, joint structure, welding speed and required penetration.
*Can the machine weld copper?
Copper components no thicker than approximately 2 mm may be welded under suitable conditions. However, copper is highly reflective and may damage the protective lens, so copper welding is not recommended as the machine’s main application.
*Can the machine weld pouch batteries?
Yes. A dedicated pouch battery welding head can replace the standard welding head. The height-limiting device and focal position must be correctly adjusted after replacement.
*What tool is required to replace the pouch battery welding head?
A No. 4 hex wrench is used to remove the original height-limiting device before installing the dedicated pouch battery welding head.
*Why is focal-height adjustment important?
A focal position that is too high or too low can cause unstable energy concentration, insufficient penetration, excessive heating or inconsistent weld quality. The focal height should be checked after changing the welding head.
*Can customized welding patterns be programmed?
Yes. The graphical control software supports welding points, straight lines, curves, circles and customized patterns for different battery connection layouts.
*Is sample testing required before production?
Yes. Welding capability varies according to the material, thickness, surface treatment, joint gap and fixture condition. Sample testing is recommended before finalizing production parameters.
