The September Ranking of Global Battery Installed Capacity is Released

Oct 08, 2020

Recently, a report from SNE Research stated that global electric vehicle battery shipments in September were approximately 15.7GWh, an increase of 55% over the same period last year.

There are two things that attract the most attention.

The first point is that BYD is divided into BYD and FinDreams (a sub-brand of BYD). If FinDreams is included in BYD, BYD’s electric vehicle battery shipments in September will reach 1.2GWh, much higher than SKI and Samsung. SDI, the ranking will rise to fourth instead of sixth.

The second point is that LG Chem still ranks first. CATL is 0.2GWh less than LG Chem, ranking second with 3.6GWh shipments.
