Automatic machine structure Raised-height design for 32140 and 33140 cells
Welding power supply Selected according to terminal and connecting strip requirements
Fixture Matched to the cell arrangement and pack dimensions
Welding program Set according to the welding point layout

The machine configuration and welding power supply are selected according to the pack dimensions, connecting strip material and thickness, cell terminal structure and welding point layout. Welding parameters are established using the actual cells and connecting strips.

Step 6 — BMS Testing and Installation
Before installation, the BMS is tested to verify its protection thresholds, response times, recovery functions and balancing performance against the pack’s specified requirements.

The test covers:

  • Overcharge protection and recovery voltages.
  • Overdischarge protection and recovery voltages.
  • Charging and discharging overcurrent protection.
  • Overcharge, overdischarge and overcurrent protection delay times.
  • Short-circuit protection response time.
  • Balancing current and balancing voltage.
  • Internal resistance and quiescent current.
  • Cell sensing wire disconnection detection.

After testing, operators install the BMS and complete the sensing and power connections according to the pack drawing.

ACEY-BP series BMS test equipment verify overcharge, overdischarge and overcurrent protection thresholds, delay times and recovery functions. They also support microsecond-level short-circuit protection response testing, cell sensing wire disconnection detection, quiescent current measurement at each cell input, and balancing current and voltage testing. The series-count range and test-current configuration are selected according to the BMS specification and battery pack requirements.

Step 7 — Battery Pack Comprehensive Testing
After BMS installation and wiring, the assembled pack undergoes comprehensive electrical testing to verify its charge-discharge performance, resistance and protection functions against the pack specification.

The test covers:

  • Open-circuit voltage and post-test voltage, including voltage after short-circuit protection testing.
  • AC internal resistance measured at 1kHz.
  • Charging and discharging DC internal resistance.
  • Continuous charging and discharging current, with voltage limit monitoring.
  • Charging overcurrent protection current and delay time.
  • First- and second-level discharging overcurrent protection currents and delay times.
  • Short-circuit protection response time.
  • Charging voltage rise and discharging voltage drop.
  • ID and NTC resistance.

ACEY-BIT series battery pack comprehensive testers combine these measurements and protection checks in programmable test sequences. The system supports step-by-step and quick test modes, adjustable test order, saved test programs for different pack models, data storage and MES integration. Tests can be started manually, automatically or by scanning a barcode.

Voltage and current ranges are selected according to the pack’s maximum charging voltage and required charge-discharge test currents. Individual cell voltage monitoring, RS485/RS232/CAN communication testing, and insulation resistance and dielectric withstand testing can be added according to customer requirements.

Step 8 — Battery Pack Heat Shrink Packaging
After electrical testing, insulation and protective materials are fitted according to the pack drawing. For packs using heat-shrink wrapping, the assembly is covered with the specified film and passed through a shrink tunnel.

The packaging setup takes account of:
  • Pack dimensions and weight.
  • Shrink film material and thickness.
  • Heating temperature and conveyor speed.
  • Required wrapping finish.

Packs with rigid housings follow the specified enclosure assembly process.

ACEY-HSM series heat tunnel shrink wrap machine use controlled heating and conveyor transport to shrink film around the pack. Adjustable temperature and conveyor speed allow the process to be set for the selected film. Machine size, tunnel clearance and conveyor configuration are selected according to the finished pack.

Step 9 — Battery Pack Coding
After heat-shrink packaging, the battery pack is marked with the information required for identification and batch management. The code helps distinguish packs during aging, final inspection and shipment, and provides a reference when checking production or test records.

Typical information includes:
  • Product model.
  • Rated voltage and capacity.
  • Production date.
  • Batch number.
  • Serial number.
  • Barcode or QR code.

ACEY inkjet coding machines print variable text, serial numbers, barcodes and QR codes on battery packs or packaging. Handheld and conveyor-mounted options are available, with the printer and ink selected according to the printing surface, code format and required production speed.

Step 10 — Battery Pack Charge-Discharge Aging
