1. Good safety performance

The structure of the polymer lithium-ion battery is aluminum-plastic soft packaging, which is different from the liquid battery with a metal shell. Once a safety hazard occurs, the liquid battery is easy to explode, while the polymer battery can only be inflated.


2. Lightweight

Polymer batteries are 40% lighter than steel shell lithium-ion batteries of the same capacity and 20% lighter than aluminum shell batteries.


3. The thickness is small, and it can be made thinner

Ordinary liquid lithium-ion batteries use the method of customizing the shell first, and then plug in the positive and negative materials. The thickness below 3.6mm has a technical bottleneck, and polymer batteries do not have this problem. The thickness can be less than 1mm, which meets the needs of current mobile phones.


4. Shapes can be self-defined

Polymer batteries can add or reduce battery thickness according to customer needs and develop new battery models. They are inexpensive and have a short mold cycle. Some can even be customized according to the shape of the mobile phone to make full use of the battery shell space and increase battery capacity.


5. Large capacity

Polymer battery is 10~15% higher than steel shell battery of the same size and 5~10% higher than aluminum shell battery. It is the battery of choice for color screen mobile phones and MMS mobile phones. Most of the new color screen and MMS mobile phones on the market now also use polymer batteries.


6. The guard plate design is simple

Due to the use of polymer materials, the battery does not catch fire or explode, and the battery itself has sufficient safety. Therefore, the PTC and fuse can be omitted when designing the protection circuit of the polymer battery, so as to save the cost of the battery.


7. Good discharge characteristics

Polymer batteries use colloidal electrolytes, which have stable discharge characteristics and have a higher discharge platform than liquid electrolytes.


8. Small internal resistance

The internal resistance of polymer batteries is less than that of liquid batteries. At present, the internal resistance of domestic polymer batteries can even be less than 35m, which greatly reduces battery power consumption and extends the standby time of mobile phones, which can reach international standards. The polymer lithium-ion battery supports large discharge currents and is ideal for remote control models, and is the most promising alternative to nickel metal hydride batteries.
